Principal Risa Crosby leads the Grizzlies at Gray Elementary.  With 21 years of experience in education, Mrs. Crosby has served Lamar CISD in various roles, including elementary teacher, academic facilitator, assistant principal, and principal. These experiences have shaped her commitment to supporting high-quality instruction, fostering collaboration, and helping every student grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Mrs. Crosby earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Houston-Victoria. Her leadership reflects a deep professional dedication to partnering with the families, students, and staff of Gray Elementary. She believes that strong school-family partnerships are essential to creating a supportive learning environment where all students are encouraged to achieve excellence.
